How to convert HEIC to JP2 offline
Choose local HEIC image files, choose "JP2" as the target image format, then click the "CONVERT OFFLINE" button to start offline conversions in bulk. File size can be up to 2GB.
This offline converter will first try to use the Canvas API in your web browser to convert images. The supported image formats depend on your current web browser. For example, the latest Chrome browser supports AVIF images while some older versions do not. The offline converter will then try to use JavaScript to convert the images if your current web browser doesn't support the image format. Use our online converter instead if this offline converter doesn't work in your web browser.

| Introduction | As HEIC is a container format, it can contain still images and image sequences (where a file contains more than one single image) that are coded in different formats. Currently, these include HEVC and H.264/MPEG-4 AVC (and JPEG for thumbnail/secondary images), though other coding formats may be added in the future. The main filename extension is .heic (for HEVC codec). | JPEG 2000 (JP2) is an image compression standard and coding system. It was created by the Joint Photographic Experts Group committee in 2000 with the intention of superseding their original discrete cosine transform-based JPEG standard with a newly designed, wavelet-based method. |
